On My Way ….

October 16 – I sent my note to all of my colleagues at work, friends and family informing them of my departure and adventure.  I am truly invigorated by all of the supportive responses back to me.  Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement.  I recognize what a great opportunity I have been given and hope to make the most of it.  However, I tell you right now, I am definitely feeling more anxious than excited. 

I am on my way!  I am packed and ready to go.  Jim is taking me to the airport in a few hours now.  I have never travelled anywhere where I have packed two suitcases just for me!  The last time I would have packed two suitcases would have been when the kids were very small and all five of us were travelling out of the same suitcases.  That was a lot of years ago.  Our advisor, Antoinette, kept reminding us that there are laundry facilities and not to pack too many clothes but I still needed two suitcases.  Let’s hope I have packed right!
